Top-rated Islamic musician, Baba Ope prepares to launch new album with injection of fuji music

The Islamic musician, Alhaji Sulaiman Munirudeen popularly called Baba Ope 1 is set to release another sonorous album, which will be injected with fuji music, to add glamour to the entertainment world.

Penpushing reports that he disclosed this in an exclusive interview, adding that the new album titled, ’OON-Oro Olorun Ni’ which is been powered by Sugar Link, an arm of Kasnaty Media outfit is scheduled to be launch on April 2, 2026 at Continental Suites, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

The top-rated Abeokuta based musician stated that after unveiling the album, it will distribute globally by Love Brothers Music and Film International, adding that the stage for the launch of the ceremony is in top gear.

Penpushing further reports that explaining the new dimension of injecting fuji into his Islamic songs, Munirudeen said music is not only tie to religion, but there is wisdom in music, which focus is on messages

‘There is no where in the Quran or Bible where music is solely tie to religion, but it is about messages and can come in any form. There is wisdom in music. I want to use Islamic song to build up fuji music and vice versa’’, he emphasized

Penpushing also reports that Baba Ope equally affirmed that he produced music for fuji musician, recalled that in the course of his entertainment journey, he had featured alongside with fuji music maestro, Sefiu Alao, who he described as a benefactor.

The Egba born musician going memory lane listed number of his released various album, which include: Magbagbemi, Tanimola, Alfa Ododo, Kadara, Alubarika, Fija Folorun, Ope, as well as number of singles among others

‘I am convinced that my music career is bright, and it is aimed to be a reference point in future. I work on happenings around to turn into music. I will not relent in adding values to music and entertainment world’, he stressed

Penpushing reports that Munirudeen recalled that his music career started in 1996, when he discovered his talent during his Arabic school days, explaining that the motivating factor was a subject related to poetry.

The musician said his first record titled, Magbagbemi was released in 1998, adding that his mother financed the album having paid the fee of N20,000 charged by the marketer known as S. Alabi records in Osodi, Lagos State

Penpushing further reports that he disclosed that his song which brought him to limelight was when he engaged with Sefiu Alao, adding that he remains grateful to the veteran fuji musician

The renowned musician equally shared some moment of his difficulties in the music industry which include how a marketer who introduced him to fuji musician, Alabi Pasuma to lift him up, eventually thwarted the arrangement

Penpushing also reports that he alongside Pasuma had musical engagement together, where he featured prominently during rehearsal and production, which include video shoot, but said to his amazement when the final production was out, the marketer had yanked off his portion of participation.

The musician lamented that the development was frustrating and when he complained to the Music Advertisement Association (MAN), he was invited by the association alongside the marketer, who could not give tangible reason for his action

Penpushing reports that he disclosed that he also had opportunity of being introduced to Saheed Osupa, another fuji music veteran, who was excited to have him, but said due to volumes engagement of Osupa outside the country that period, the arrangement did not see the light of the day
