Tinubu holds maiden council of state meeting with former Nigerian leaders
The Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday held a maiden meeting with former leaders of Nigeria conducted virtually and physically at at the Council Chambers of the Villa, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Penpushing reports that the Council of State meeting which commenced at about 12pm had former Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan in attendance physically, while former Head of State Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar reportedly attending the meeting virtually.
The meeting chaired by Tinubu also include participation of number of Governors who physically present, but as at the time of filing this report it was not clear what the agenda of the meeting was about.
Penpushing further reports that there are indications that it will discuss the state of the economy and the recent protest against hunger and hardship, while record has it that the council met last on February 10, 2023 ahead of the general elections.
