Tinubu assumes duty at Aso Rock Presidential Villa
The Nigeria’s 16th President Asiwaju Tinubu on Tuesday assumed duty in his office at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa Abuja, where he arrived at about 2:30 p.m. and received a special military salute at the diplomatic gate when his convoy arrived the front arcade of the Villa office.
Penpushing reports that the President was received by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, who had earlier assumed duty, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives,Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
The top officials who received Tinubu include the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) Godwin Emefiele, the Group Managing Director of the NNPCL, Mele Kyari, and Executive Secretary of Nigeria Midstream and Downstream petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed, among others.
Penpushing further reports that Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC)immediately went into a meeting with his officials, while it is recalled that during his inaugural address announced some far-reaching decisions among which was the scrapping of fuel subsidy.
