Three political aides of late Akeredolu resign as Aiyedatiwa takes over as Ondo state governor

Three political aides of the late Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, have resigned barely few hours after Lucky Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as the new Governor of the State on Wednesday in Akure, the State Capital.

Penpushing reports that the trio who filed their letters of resignation include: Adedoyin Odebowale (Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy) Richard Olatunde,(Chief Press Secretary) and Dare Aragbaiye (the Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties).

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy, in a letter dated 27 December and addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, announced his resignation from the government, adding that his resignation was with immediate effect

Penpushing further reports that Richard Olatunde on his own part submitted his resignation letter on Wednesday, and was subsequently replaced by Ebenezer Adeniyan as Chief Press, stating that his (Olatunde) decision to quit was hinged on the demise of his late boss

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties in similar vein, submitted his resignation letter at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, emphasizing that the resignation was with effect from Wednesday December 27, 2023.

Penpushing also reports that the new Governor, has however, appointed Smart Omodunbi as Special Assistant on Political Matters; Abire Olugbenga, Special Assistant on New Media; Motunrayo Oyedele, Special Assistant on Photography and Temitayo Iperepolu, Special Assistant on Domestic and Government House.
