Three die in Lagos-Ibadan expressway crash
Three persons were on Sunday killed at Ogere, near Sapade on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in an accident involving two vehicles, while one other person was also confirmed to have sustained injuries in the incident.
Penpushing reports that, Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command Ahmed Umar, confirmed the accident explaining that five persons were involved in the crash between a Nissan car with Registration Number, GH 597 LND and a Mack truck marked SMK 499 XU.
“The survivors are receiving treatment at a hospital here in Ogun State, while two of the dead were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital. Efforts are on-going to extricate the third deceased from the wreckage’, Umar said.
Penpushing further reports that, the sector commander blamed the accident on route violation and excessive speeding, just as he gave caution note to motorists against violating traffic rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, Umar commiserated with families of the victims and enjoined them to contact Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogbere Command in Ogun State for additional information about the crash.
