THERE IS NOTHING TO CELEBRATE IN 100 DAYS, SAYS GOVERNOR ABIODUN
The Governor said he did not believe in the celebration of what he called a milestone ,explaining that , he planned to use the period to share his performance within the first 100 days in office, adding that his administration had put together the foundation for the agenda within the first 100 days .
“As we have shared with you during campaign , we have put together their foundation in place .And all those things you began to see them like the roads we are doing, the ICT , Tech-up . They will be unveiled to you in the next few days”.
The Governor while speaking on the free medical exercise , said his administration was committed to preventive medicine rather than its curative aspect, adding that his government has laid emphasises on preventive medicine because is cheaper and also helps to detect and stop partial or permanent damage to health.
“We cannot afford to allow ailments that are preventable to continue to make our people bed-ridden or take their lives. This is why we must continue to have health screenings and monitor the health status of our people. In doing this, we will be able to detect, early, such ailments, prescribe drugs and, if needed, make referrals to specialist hospitals for proper treatment”.
Penpushing further reports that, the Governor at the event where some people were screened for High Blood Pressure; Blood Sugar Level; Random Determined Malaria among others said the initiative would be held in all the Senatorial districts in the state .
