Taraba state labour congress chairman kidnapped second time

The Taraba State chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC) Peter Jediel, has for the second time being  kidnapped from his residence located at Sunkani, headquarters of Ardo-Kola local government area of the state.

Penpushing reports that, the gunmen at about 3.30am on Sunday stormed the residence on the outskirt of Jalingo, the state capital and was seized the labour union boss in the presence of his family members

The 54 year old Chairman of the labour congress, it is recalled was first kidnapped  in February and later released two days later after an undisclosed amount was paid as ransom.

Penpushing further reports that, when contacted, the Command Public Relations Officer,, David Misal was quoted saying that he has been transferred to Jos, Plateau State, and so could not confirm the report.

The abductors as at the time of filing this reports were yet to get in touch with the family, while a senior police detective, however, confirmed the abduction adding that  intensive efforts were ongoing  by a combined team of police officers, vigilantes and hunters in the area to ensure that the  the victim regain freedom and the perpetrators arrested.
