Takeover preparation: Buhari conducts Tinubu around president’s office

The outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday conducted his elected successor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu around the office building and other affiliated offices including the Executive Council Chamber, Tea Room, the Press Gallery, and the State House Banquet Hall.

Penpushing reports that the conduct was held after the two of them prayed the Juma’at prayer at the State House Mosque in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), while in the course of this, Tinubu took all explanations and interacted freely with the president as well as acknowledging State House officials as they went round

The outgoing President while speaking after the duo went round the complex said it was an honour and extraordinary privilege for him to serve the country and wished the incoming President success as he prepares to take office.

Penpushing further reports that the President elect in response to questions from journalists said he prayed to God to give him strength, wisdom and good health to run the affairs of the country, and urged Nigerians to support the All Progressives Congress’s change agenda.

The President elect, whose swearing in is scheduled to hold on May 29, 2023 also spoke on his “Renewed Hope” agenda to revamp Nigeria’s economy, tackle security and poverty reduction, and what generally Nigerians should expect of him.
