Suspected fraudsters lure Penpushing Media founder with fake federal government ambassadorial appointment

Suspected fraudsters under the guise of Presidential Advisory Committee on Federal appointment have reached out to Founder of Penspushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji for ambassadorial appointment.

Penpushing reports that the fraudsters in an email message dated Jan 17, 2026 titled, ‘Attention Sir: Strictly Confidential’ said to be from the Presidential Committee requested for the Curriculum Vitae and recent passport photograph of the journalist to be submitted via email: [email protected]

The mail signed by one Dr. Solomon Babafoh who claimed to be Director Cabinet Affairs, said the positions been considered for the fake appointment include board of federal parastatal, federal commissioner, ambassador among others.

‘You are directed by the Presidential Advisory Committee on Federal Appointment to forward a soft copy of your CV, affix your recent passport photograph of your true resemblance via email: [email protected] for consideration for any of the following positions: Board of Federal parastatal, Federal commissioner, Ambassador appointment etc. Best Wishes’, Babafoh wrote

Meanwhile, the founder of Penpushing Media, suspecting foul play and having not made such move, has ignored the email, and equally cautioned members of the public to also be cautious of the antics of the fraudsters, who might have equally approached other innocent personalities
