Suspected fraudster hacks former Ogun State Speaker, Tunji Egbetokun’s phone to defraud his contacts
Suspected fraudster has hacked WhatsApp contact of former Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Tunji Egbetokun, which they now used to defraud innocent people
Penpushing reports that the modus operandi of the fraudster include sending messages to targeted victims requesting for money to be borrowed to address some challenges which will be refunded within next 24 hours.
The fraudster who identified himself as lzuchukwu Kelvin in one of the messages sent requested for the sum of N986, 000 and provided a bank called Account Bank with number 1672166706, stressing that the money is needed urgently
“Good evening how are you doing today I’m actually trying to transfer to someone it’s not going through because of my bank network Can you help me to make an instant transfer of N986,000 Thousand naira to someone it’s very urgent I make the refund as early morning before 8:00. It is really urgent sorry for the inconveniences🙏1672166706 lzuchukwu kelvin ACCOUNT BANK Thank you I appreciate”, he wrote
