“This is my home and my mother worked in the Record and Administrative Department for 32 years. I did a bit of research at some point for an Non-Governmental Oganisation (NGO) before I became the Ooni of Ife just to have the record of very high-profile people that have come to UCH”

“One of the people that used to come to this hospital for everything that has to do with medical treatment is King of Saudi Arabia. Not only him, so many Ministers in Europe, so many World leaders this is their official hospital.  At that time, medical tourism very huge in Arab country.”

“If you look at the facility in this arena, you will realize that it is out of this world. But where did we get it wrong that every of our leaders now decides to look elsewhere for medical care? It is not their fault. We are all to be blamed. You and I are all to be blamed. Where you work, what you do? A lot of us, can we send our children to our alma mater?

“Look at brain drain, every resident Doctor after qualifying as a Consultant and Specialist , the objective and mission is to run out of this country.I understand that you are not well appreciated but let us patronize what is our own. I want to appeal to everyone of us that  it is not only government that we should blame.”

“This kind of Initiative, it is one of its kind, it is a maiden edition. It is a veritable platform to interact and engage one another, to know that we should be very patriotic in everything we do”,Ogunwusi added

“Let us try and bring the old days of UCH back. Let’s try as much as possible to see how things can be better for us. UCH has done so much for you.  Have it at the back of your mind what are you going to do for UCH now and in the foreseeable future’, he stated

‘It is very important for us to know that it is our joint effort to bring back this glory of greatness that has passed through this facility. It is very important for us know that the way you carry your home, the way you own is the way the entire world will honour everything you stand for.”
