SPORTS WRITERS ORGANISE SUMMIT
association is scheduled to take place between 8-10 February at Agege Stadium,Lagos.
‘The forum agreed that the coming summit should be a 3-day programme, first day for arrival, second day for the programme and the last day for departure. The date set tentatively for the programme is February 8-10’
In view of this,five member committee was set up to make the programme a success. They include;Boye Ajayi(VP of the zone), Dele Ogunyemi (Secretary of the Zone),Akeem Akintunde(Ogun State Chairman), Niyi Alebiosu(Oyo State Chairman),and Segun Giwa (Ondo State Secretary)
The Ogun State Chairman of SWAN,Alhaji Akeem, being the host was charged to look for an hotel which has a hall that can accommodate invited guests.
The meeting also submitted that,at least 40 rooms are to be booked to cater for invited guests. It added further that five sports writers per state in the region,which include chairmen and secretaries would be participants
The meeting also agreed that other zones should have a nominee,adding that the National President of the body will deliver the goodwill message .
The forum will also invites past
leaders of SWAN in the zone and it equally agreed that,Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun would be the Special Guest of Honour
