Senator Otegbola is dead

A top Nigerian politician, member of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and one time Chairman of Federal Housing Authority(FHA), Chief Ayodeji Otegbola has been reported dead at age 91, on Monday at his Gbagada residence in Lagos State

Penpushing reports that a former Chairman of PeoplesDemocraticParty(PDP), Ogun West Senatorial District Onlado Boye Adesina made this known on Tuesday in a condolence message,adding that the demise was a profound loss

“With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Ogun West Senatorial District mourns the passing of our revered leader, statesman, and distinguished elder, Senator (Chief) Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola”, the message reads

“The news of his demise has left us in profound grief, as we reflect on the immense contributions he made to our district, our state, and the nation at large. As a former senator and one time Chairman of Federal Housing Authority(FHA) Chief Otegbola was a committed advocate for the progress of Ogun West”, Adesina wrote.

Penpushing further reports that the message added that the deceased who was elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1992, dedicated his life to selfless service, good governance, and the upliftment of his people, stressing that his remarkable leadership as a former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ogun State from 1999 – 2000, recorded unwavering integrity, and tireless efforts in championing the cause of development which will forever be remembered.

“Beyond politics, he was a father figure, a mentor, and an inspiration to many. His wisdom, humility, and passion for the welfare of his people set him apart as a true servant leader. His departure has created a void that will be difficult to fill, but we take solace in the legacy of excellence, service, and dedication that he leaves behind’ Adesina emphasized.

“On behalf of the PDP family in Ogun West, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, political associates, friends, and the entire Ogun State. May the Almighty grant them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss and grant his soul eternal rest.Adieu, Senator (Chief) Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola! Your impact will never be forgotten”, the statement stated
