Senate President appoints ogun state former lawmaker, femi allen-taylor as legislative aide
The Senate President Goodwill Akpabio has appointed a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Femi Allen-Taylor as Senior Legislative Aide, an appointment which take effect from January 1,2025.
Penpushing reports that appointment letter dated January 224, 2025 with reference number NASS/PSN/2023/2605 and signed by Secretary, Human Resources and Staff Development, Dr Umar Abubakar Alkali stated that the appointee is entitled allowance as applicable in Public Service.
‘I am directed to inform you that you have been offered a non-pensionable and short-term appointment as a Senior Legislative Aide to the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON with effect from 1st January, 2025. You are also entitled to such allowance as applicable in Public Service’, the letter read.
Penpushing further reports that the letter from the Directorate of Human Resources and Staff Development stated that the appointment was at the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
‘Your appointment is at the pleasure of the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria. The President of the Senate may at any time for good cause, terminate your appointment by giving you one month’s notice in writing or by payment of one month salary in lieu of notice. You may also terminate your appointment by giving one month’s notice in writing or by paying one month salary in lieu of notice’, it added.
‘You will be required to inform this office in writing whether or not you are prepared to accept this appointment within two months of the date of this letter, after which the offer would have lapsed. Please, accept my congratulations’, Alkali wrote
