Sector commander commiserates with bereaved families of 2021 road accident victims

The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, Ahmed Umar has commiserated with families of those who lost their lives through road traffic in the outgoing year.

Penpushing reports that, Umar sent the condolence message as the Nigeria government in compliance with Africa Union and United Nations Resolution join other countries to commemorate this year’s edition of remembrance of all those who lost their lives through road traffic crashes and also to sensitize the living on the need to curtail the excesses of accidents.

The theme for this year’s edition of  Road Safety Day and World Day Remembrance for Road Safety Crash Victims is ‘Act for low speed/act for low speed streets’ with the slogan “Remember, Support, Act”.

Penpushing further reports that, Umar wishes  the lost souls continuous rest in perfect peace, and  also prayed for the quick recovery of the injured victims, just as he reminded. the motoring public that the recommended speed at construction zones is 50km/hrs according to global best practices.

The Sector Commander added that motorists should always maintain safe speed, avoid night travels and enjoy quality road experience, as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) wishes all happy motoring to year 2022 and beyond.
