Prominent penpushing member, salimot makanjuola badru bags chieftaincy title
A prominent member of Penpushing platform and former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaja Salimot Makanjuola Badru is to be honoured with Pan Yewa Chieftaincy title, Beere of Yewaland.
Penpushing reports that, a statement by Media Consultant to Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle who is the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Prince Femi Dokunmu, said Makanjuola Badru was considered for her outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of Yewaland and mankind in general.
The statement added that others to be conferred with chieftaincy titles include: Otunba Akeem Adigun as Apagunpote of Yewaland, Senator Solomon Adeola, (Aremo of Yewaland and his wife, Mrs Temitope Adeola as Yeye Aremo),.
Penpushing also reports that, others are: Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun(Oluomo of Yewaland), Chief Dele Oderinde,(Tayese of Yewaland),Prince Adewale Adesina (Babaloja of Yewaland, and Chief Isiah Akinsowon(Majeobaje of Yewaland).
The statement added that, the traditional council held a meeting on 28th September, 2021 and as a follow up, the paramount ruler approved the awards, adding that the chiefs were carefully selected based on their outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of Yewaland and mankind in general and their sterling qualities
Penpushing reports that, the paramount ruler said the exercise shall be done periodically to honour more outstanding personalities who have contributed immensely to the development of Yewaland.
The royal father explained that this is in line with the Chieftaincy law of Ogun State which confers on the Paramount Ruler the authority to confer Chieftaincy Titles on personalities so qualified.
Penpushing further reports that, Olugbenle said the formal celebration of the chiefs who have been issued their certificate of conferment, with their families, friends and other well-wishers, shall be held at a later date subject to arrangements between him and the respective chiefs.
The Paramount Ruler congratulates the new chiefs on behalf of all Yewa Obas and urged them to rededicate themselves to the development of Yewaland and see themselves as worthy Ambassadors of Yewaland in their public conduct and character.
