PROFESSOR LAWAL SULAIMAN BILBIS VICE CHANCELLOR USMANU DANFODIYO UNIVERSITY

The new Vice Chancellor is to succeeds Professor Abdullah Abdul Zuru whose tenure as Vice Chancellor will expire on July 20, 2019, while the statement added that Prof. Bilbis, an indigene of Tsafe Local Government area of Zamfara State started his working career as Clinical Biochemistry in the General Hospital, Gusau

Penpushing further reports that, the Vice Chancellor was born 58 years ago,and  joined the service of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto as Graduate Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry in 1988.

The incoming Vice Chancellor rose through the ranks to become a Professor of Biochemistry in 2002, and has served the University in various capacities, including Head, Department of Biochemistry, Dean Faculty of science Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic).

Penpushing also reports that,he was also a one-time pioneer Vice Chancellor, Federal University Birnin-Kebbi,  had his first Degree in Biochemistry in 1981(B.Sc Hons) from University of Sokoto (now Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto).

The Vice Chancellor also attended University of Excess Colchester England where he obtained Ph.D in Biological Chemistry in 1992, and as DVC (Academic), contributed to the progress of the University. He is no doubt a very outstanding Scholar, an Administrator and a good Manager of Resources who will further contribute to the development of the University. In this regard, he understands the administration of the University
