
Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative celebrates Muslims on successful completion of Ramadan fast
The Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative (PLDI) has congratulated Muslim faithful across the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Penpushing reports that the leader of the initiative and convener of Leadership Empowerment Conference (LEIC) globally Bishop Olusesi Obateye in statement made available to journalists on Sunday expressed best wishes to Muslims
The congratulatory message contained in a statement pointed out the importance and relevance of five pillars of Islam which include declaration of faith (Shahada), obligatory prayer (Salah), almsgiving (Zakat), fasting during Ramadan (Sawm), and pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).
‘We celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters, as you successful completed the Ramadan fast and pray that this Eid usher in a new season of joy and prosperity for Nigeria and citizens as well as strengthen the bonds of unity in Nigeria and across the world our society’’, he wrote.
‘We also want to use this opportunity to urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to embrace the values of love, unity, and exemplary conduct as they enjoy a peaceful and fulfilling Eid’, he added.
Penpushing further reports that the initiative in same vein encouraged Muslim faithful to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and continue to uphold the virtues of faith, compassion, and national unity and also commend them for their devotion throughout Ramadan and encourage them to let the lessons of this sacred period guide their daily lives.
The Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative (PLDI) prayed that the spirit of Eid al-Fitr which is of peace, compassion, and unity will continue to radiate in their path which will also inspire a society for better as well as bring abundant joy and blessings.
