A Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) Priceless Jewels Foundation on Saturday organized a Christmas get together to host children across Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital where they were treated to funfare
Penpushing reports that the children converged on Rantipe Event Center Ground, opposite Fish House (Ile Eja), Alogi, Obankoto, Abeokuta for the well designed and colourful ceremony, with the children enjoying themselves.
The parents and guardians, volunteers and community stakeholders were not left out , at the ceremony and sat to watched the funfare of their wards estimated to be 338 drawn from different parts of the community.
Penpushing further reports that the Christmas celebration featured several engaging activities including face painting, bouncing castle games, cotton candy, interactive games and other fun-filled sessions, providing a lively and safe environment for children to celebrate the festive season.
The President of the Priceless Jewels Foundation Mrs. Olubukola Oseni, speaking on the essence of the programme explained that the initiative was organised to spread joy, hope and the true spirit of Christmas among children.
Penpushing also reports that she added that the foundation’s mission is to create memorable experiences for children through generosity, kindness and community support, ensuring that every child feels valued, loved and included during the festive season.
The Deputy Executive Director Mr. Olubumni Sofowora, on behalf of the organisation expressed appreciation to sponsors and parents for their support, noting that their contributions and encouragement played a major role in the success of the event.
Penpushing reports that she added that the support received helped strengthen community bonds and brought happiness to the children.
The Executive Director, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Verisimmo who was unavoidably absent, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to sponsors and parents for their commitment and partnership and described the event as a memorable celebration made possible through collective goodwill, while wishing families a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Penpushing further reports that parents at the event commended the foundation for organising a well-coordinated and impactful programme, describing it as a meaningful way to celebrate Christmas while promoting love, unity and care for children.
Meanwhile, notable dignitaries who graced the occasion include by the Special Guest of Honour, Comrade Adegbenro D.S. Ominuga, Special Adviser to the Ikenne Local Government Area Chairman, whose presence further highlighted the importance of community-driven initiatives aimed at child development and welfare.
