Praiseworthy School Abeokuta bounces back for continued academic excellence
Praiseworthy Nursery and Primary School located in Leme axis of Moshood Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital has bounced back after challenges allegedly caused by former coordinator of the school.
Penpushing reports the proprietor of the school Mrs Funmi Erinle made this known on Friday at the graduation ceremony of pupils held in school environment explaining that it took the mediation of Ministry of Education and police before some of the school’s properties and name of the school could be retrieved.

The proprietor emphasised that the 27-year-old school was almost brought to its knees by the said former coordinator, who went as far as using the name of the school in another location until legal way was used to end the mischievous conduct to cripple the school.
‘However, as we celebrate today, its also important to acknowledge, that like every other institution, we faced a huge set back this year, one that almost brought us back to square one, but for God’s timely intervention’, she said
‘It will interest us to know that Praiseworthy school turned 27 years this year, counting from 1998, year of establishment till today. In the course of these years, many ‘soldiers’ have come and gone, like they say that soldier go, soldier come’, Erinle added.

‘But sadly, the last ‘soldier’ that was given charge of the school went away with almost 100 pupils of Praiseworthy School and also stripped the school bare of every infrastructure except for the school building’, she stated
‘It took the mediation of the Ministry of Education, Abeokuta chapter and the Police, before some of the school’s properties could be taken back and these included praiseworthy uniform and also, the name of the school which she had already started to use elsewhere’,
Penpushing further reports that Erinle, however, expressed optimism that inspite of the setback, the new management will continue to be steadfast and work tirelessly to provide the best learning environment for the children.

‘We are working effortlessly to overcome this obstacle and with God on our side, it will only be a matter of time to rebound. Also, admission into all classes for the 2025/2026 academic year has fully began from July 29 to September 12, 2025, she added.
Penpushing also reports that Erinle used the occasion to inform guests and parents that the school will commence holiday coaching classes from August 4-29, 2025, and enjoined parents to allow their children attend.
‘Our holiday coaching promises to be fun, exciting and educating with lots of game-time and movies for your children and vocational training like baking, arts and craft, and the fee is just token’, she told parents

‘We enjoin you dear parents, to allow your children attend the holiday coaching as this will keep them busy all through the holiday period while you parents go about your businesses and normal daily activities’, Erinle emphasized
Penpushing reports that she thanked parents for entrusting their children with the school management, as well as their support, encouragement and partnership, which she said will never be underestimated
