POWER OUTAGE: IKALE YOUTHS DISSOCIATE GROUP FROM PLANNED PROTEST

However, the group which advised the disgruntled politicians to seek better ways of settling their scores with the state government, disclosed that the acclaimed coalition planning the protest was fictitious.

“It is therefore disheartening and a slap in the face of common sense and decency that any serious organization in any part of Ondo State will claim that it is now protesting against that same government two days after that announcement was made.

“We have carried out investigation and we now know two politicians who are using these individuals to portray the Ikales and the rest of the people of Ondo South as ungrateful impressionable beings.”

The group while appreciating the State Government for the intervention, urged the contractors to move to site on time,  appealing to government to extend the coverage of the mini grid to more towns and communities in the district.

“We appreciate the State Government’s intervention and we are praying and appealing that the contractors should move to site quickly once they get their papers. We thank the State for including such towns as Iyansan, Ode Omi and Iju Odo’.

‘We want Governor Akeredolu to know that we the Ikales will be glad if he can expand the mini grid projects to include Irele, Ode-aye and Okitipupa. We have more confidence in the intervention of the state government than one million promises from BEDC,” the statement said.
