Sanwo-Olu sworn-in for second term as Lagos State Governor

The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been sworn-in for a second term in office, alongside his Deputy Obafemi Hamzat, with the oath of office and oath of allegiance administered by the chief judge of the state, Justice Kazeem Alogba.

Penpushing reports that the ceremony was held on Monday at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), with the Governor decked in a white Agbada and a purple cap, who took the oaths at exactly 11:44 a.m, while some notable dignitaries in attendance include the council of traditional chiefs, members of the State House of Assembly among others.

The Governor it is recalled on March 18, 2023 was re-elected having secured a total of 762,134 votes against his opponents Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP) scored 312,329 votes and Olajide ‘Jandor’ Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 62,449.
