POLICE PARADE FOUR ALLEGED KIDNAPERS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT CARETAKER MEMBER

The suspected kidnappers of  member of Caretaker Committee of Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Soniyi Taiwo  who was abducted along Fidi-Ipara road area of the State on January 10th. have been arrested .

Penpushing reports that,  Ogun State Police Commissioner Kenneth Ebrimson who  paraded the four  suspects identified as Muhammad Abdullah,(25), Ibrahim Diko,(20), Gambo Abduallah( 25), and Mohammed Sulaimon(23),said they were arrested following proactive method of the police.

The police boss added that they were arrested after technical and forensic investigation as well as pressure from the police to comb the road, stating that one of the suspects was tracked to Idi-Ayunre in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Commissioner speaking at Eleweran Police Headquarters said   he directed the Divisional Police Officer of Isara Division to work in-conjunction with other tactical teams in the command, for the release of the victim, which eventually work out well.

Penpushing further reports that, Ebrimson told journalist that, the victim was  rescued unhurt, and no ransom was paid for the abductors, explaining that, “in compliance with my directive, the team swung into action and embarked on technical and forensic investigation as a result of which the kidnappers were quickly geo-located’.

‘ Having realised that the police are closing in on them, the hoodlums released their victim but three members of the gang were subsequently apprehended as  a result of intense combing of the bush where they were traced to. Their arrest led to the arrest of the fourth suspect who was tracked to Idi-Ayunre in Ibadan “.

The Commissioner said that the victim has identified the suspects as his abductors, stating that the suspects are undergoing interrogation, adding  that  their confessional statements will serve as a lead to arrest of other fleeing gang members.

Penpushing also reports that, the police boss, warned criminals to relocate from the State, warning that the command will always make the state unbearable for them, while the suspects in an interview with journalists  denied committing the crime.
