Police nab secret cult ring leader over alleged killing of rival cult leader in Lagos state
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested an alleged notorious leader of a secret cult, Aiye confraternity in Bariga area of the state, who was said to have shot dead a leader of rival cult known as Eiye confraternity.
Penpushing reports that, the Command Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi who made this known said the suspect, Segun Ezekiel (24) on March 28 allegedly fired and killed Taye Gbalagbala,(30), alleged leader of the Eye Confraternity in Bariga.
The Command spokesman said the suspect was subsequently arrested on March 31st, 2021, by the operatives attached to Bariga police, adding that the suspect has been alleged to be a notorious cult leader and killer who has been terrorising the entire Bariga Area of the state.
Penpushing further reports that, Adejobi said the suspect has confessed to the crime and that he carried out the gruesome murder of the deceased in company of other three members of Aiye Confraternity in his domain.
The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for proper investigation and possible arrest of other fleeing culprits.
