
Police kill kidnappers of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police’s wife, free victim
The Ogun State Police Command have killed the kidnappers of Folashade Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, as well as rescuing the victim and recovering the ransom used as bait.
Penpushing reports that the Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi made this known in a statement posted on X on Thursday, but did not give details about the location where the victim was rescued.
The statement in same vein was silent on the the ransom amount recovered, adding that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun commended the Police Operatives and Commissioner of police in the state for a good job.
Penpushing further reports that it is recalled that the wife of the police chieftain was abducted last week at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, in Obafemi- Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, and thereafter abductors demanded N40 million ransom
The kidnappers it is also recalled intercepted Odumosu’s Lexus SUV vehicle and took her through a swampy area to an unknown location, hence, the police authorities commenced intensive search and investigation which subsequently led to rescue of the victim
