POLICE BOSS RESUSCITATES SECURITY, SYNERGY AT PORTS
The Assistant Inspector General of Police explained further that, the meeting which took place at his host respectively bases was meant to resuscitate synergy and effective policing of the ports with a view to ameliorating insecurity at the ports and in Nigeria at large.
Penpushing further reports that Ali reiterated his commitment to boost the core values of community policing and strengthen as well as cementing the already existing synergy amongst security agencies to make Nigerian economy viable through secured ports.
He pointed out that this became necessary as the Eastern Ports Command was recently upgraded to a zonal status by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, with a charge on Ali as the pioneer Assistant Inspector General of Police not to leave no stone unturned to tackle sea pirates and robbers.
Penpushing further reports that, the Military Commanders in their various responses appreciated the police boss for creating time to visit and introduce inter-agencies evaluation and solidification of cross-fertilised ideas towards adequate security of our nation.
They also assured the police boss supporting the course, and extended hand of love and professionalism in policing the ports to bring back lives into ports economic drive of the Federal Government.
Penpushing reports that, in a related development, the visiting Assistant Inspector General of Police warned the criminals in the area to steer clear of the sea and Government economic installations and private businesses stressing that he will not tolerate any act of criminality, either piracy or robbery or crimes of any kind in the area henceforth.
