PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS DETERMINED TO RECAPTURE ANAMBRA IN THE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION, SAYS ZONAL CHAIRMAN

“Though, it’s a monthly zonal working committee meeting. It’s important because I just came back from Abuja and needed to update the zone on some crucial issues concerning the party and zone itself to be properly informed and carried along’, he said.

“The zone has been mandated to go and capture Anambra the way we did in Imo State. Anambra election is very cardinal to us. What happened last time, we will not allow it to repeat because we are determined to recapture Anambra as PDP and as a party’.

“The State belongs to PDP and you know if not for sabotage and Pull Him Down Syndrome in Anambra State which we have taken precautions and must have to nip it on the dustbin and ensure it will not repeat.

Penpushing further reports that, on the zoning formula to be employed in the State by the party, Umahi said that, “The issue of zoning, you are talking of APGA, and this is PDP. We are going for the best candidate irrespective of where he is coming from. If he likes, let him come from anywhere and the brother becomes the Deputy’.

“The most important thing is that we want to recapture Anambra State because its very cardinal to South East and there is no way South East Governors forum will be meeting as PDP, and Anambra State will be lacking. So the whole thing lies on it to get Anambra back on the stream of PDP which is part of progress’.

The Chairman while speaking on the performance of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Governors in the zone  said that, “PDP Governors are doing well. They are exceptional and I don’t know whether any zone applies the method of South East Governors’.

“We undertake projects, apply best methods of achieving them and interact time to time. We trust our Governors and when you do comparative analysis, you will see that they are doing well. We commend them for their efforts to make the zone best among others,” he said.
