Peoples Democratic Party accuses All Progressives Congress of attempt to cause confusion in garages in Ogun state

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State of attempting to create a parallel association within associations
of the  management of transportation activities across the state.
Penpushing reports that, the opposition party made the allegation in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Akinloye Bankole, adding that operators and other stakeholders in the transportation sector who are saddled with peaceful conducts of park operations and other related activities were shocked with the recent announcement of a new group.
The statement said the controversial transportation association  known as  OSMOS,is being led by one  Alhaji Mukaila Yaro with the clear mandate to join other subsisting approved unions and associations in the management of transportation activities across Ogun state.
“It is instructive for members of the public to note that the transportation sector has always enjoyed a recorded lease of peace and tranquility since the inception of the Dapo Abiodun led administration in 2019. It is about the only feasible sector which the ruling APC government seems to manage well. It is however, worrisome to see a drowning government seeking to delibrately creating a needless leadership tussle among operators in that sector”, Bankole said
“Just like in other sectors, Dapo Abiodun has, once again demonstrated his blatant lack of capacity to always stand by his words. It would be recalled that it was the same clueless government that announced the emergence of Alhaji Akeem  Iyeru led park management shortly after its inauguration in May 2019; and the parks and garages have enjoyed relative peace since then”, he stated.
Penpushing further reports that, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed concern over the purported creation of a parallel, as the government is rounding off, at this period of awaiting fresh political dispensation from next year.
“Why the urgent need to create a parallel association? Why the policy summersault when the administration has less than 6 months to go?. For every right thinking resident and citizens of good conscience, the creation and announcement of a strange OSMOS by the state government is not only distasteful, it is manifestly unnecessary”.
“It is a calculated attempt to destabilise  transportation activities and raise a new army of bad boys  to harass and intimidate every voice of opposition in the build up to 2023 general election. In recent times, it has become increasingly glaring that Dapo Abiodun has lost favour and goodwill of the good people of Ogun state”.
” They have clearly shown strong signals of outright rejection of the Abiodun led APC government and this readily explains Mr. Governor’s needless desperation to muscle opposition into silence by recruiting a new set of army solely for prosecuting of reelection bid”, Bankole wroted.
“Again, we make bold to further encourage all the security agencies, especially the Nigerian Police and Department of State Service, DSS and of course, law abiding members of the public to hold Dapo Abiodun responsible in case of any violent break down of law and order in our parks and garages as a result of this senseless development in the transportation sector. Ogun state does not deserve another avoidable loss of lives and property because of one man’s desperate ambition for a reelection.
