Penpushing member Sina Adefolahan becomes chairman Olabisi Onabanjo University Alumni Association

A frontline member of Penpushing, Sina Afolahan has been elected as the new Chairman of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Alumni Association, Abeokuta branch.

Penpushing reports that the election was held at the meeting of the Alumni at IIG Guest House, Asero, Abeokuta, which pave way for him to lead the association for the next two years

The other officers elected were Barrister Lukman Abdullah (Vice-Chairman), Mrs. Abidemi Akinsanya(Secretary), Mrs. Florence Oduyale(Treasurer).Mr. Meya Olusola (Financial Secretary), Ms Wunmi Oladunjoye(Social Secretary), Mr. Lola Akinbiyi (Assistant Secretary), Mr. Temitope Dina (Public Relations Officer) and Alhaja Ebun Atinuke(Ex-Officio).

Penpushing further reports that, Adefolahan a distinguished alumnus and an award winner, graduated from the University in 1994 with Second Class (Honours) Upper Division in Guidance and Counselling.

The chairman also bagged Masters Degree in Personnel Psychology (MPP) in 1997 from the same University, while in his university days, he served as the Chief Whip and Clerk of the Students Representative Council (SRC).

Penpushing reports that, he also bagged the awards of the Comrade Fellow of the Students Union (CFSU) as well as the Comrade Commander of the Students Union (CCSU) which is the highest honour being bestowed by the Students Union Government.

The accomplished educationist and a Development Practitioner in his acceptance speech appreciated the out-going executive led by Alhaja Ebun Atinuke and promised to continue with the legacy of sound networking, personal growth and the yearly support to the alma-mater which the branch is noted for.

Penpushing reports that, earlier, before the election was held, Mrs Toyin Sogbesan another alumnus who was just elevated to the post of General Manager of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) was given a felicitation award by the association.

Meanwhile, the election adjudged as free and fair was supervised by Justice Kolawole Peters and Mr. Tunji Kanimodo as presiding officers.
