Penpushing member, Remmy Hazzan commiserates with Onabanjo family over demise of matriarch
A prominent member of Penpushing platform and former Deputy Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly Rt Hon Remmy Hazzan has commiserated with the late Olabisi Onabanjo family on demise of the pioneer first lady of Ogun State Mrs. Lucia Onabanjo.
Penpushing reports that Hazzan in a condolence letter to the family through the daughter of the deceased Hon Bukola Onabanjo said peaceful transition at the remarkable age of 101 marks the close of a long, purposeful, and gracious life, one that was richly invested in family, values, and service.
The former number two lawmaker in Ogun State while expressing deep sense of sympathy to commiserate with the entire Onabanjo family added that the late Mama stood as a quiet pillar behind a family whose name is firmly etched in the history of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
‘I write with a deep sense of sympathy to commiserate with you and the entire Onabanjo family on the passing of your beloved matriarch, Late Mrs. Lucia Onabanjo. Late Mrs. Lucia Onabanjo stood as a quiet pillar behind a family whose name is firmly etched in the history of Ogun State and Nigeria at large’.
‘As the matriarch of the household of late Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo, the first Executive Governor of Ogun State, her life reflected strength, dignity, sacrifice, and enduring faith. She nurtured generations, instilled discipline and moral clarity, and left behind a legacy of stability and love that will continue to speak long after her departure’, Hazzan wrote.
‘While we grieve her loss, we are equally grateful to God for the gift of her long years, her fulfilled journey, and the indelible memories she leaves behind. May the Almighty grant you, the children, grandchildren, and the entire Onabanjo family the fortitude to bear this loss, and may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and assurances of my prayers during this moment of mourning’, he added.
