Penpushing member, Lawrence Achudume’s son gets married

A frontline member of Penpushing platform and General Overseer of the Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Achudume on Saturday April 19, 2025 organised a befitting wedding for his son, David Lawrence-Achudume.

Penpushing reports that the wedding ceremony was held at the palatial church international headquarters located along Abeokuta-Ajebo Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital which attracted personalities within and outside the country

The wife, Precious Chigozie and her hubby could not hide their joy as they were seen beaming with smiles throughout the colourful ceremony where they were pronounced husband and wife by the officiating Minister, the pronouncement attracted loud ovation from guests

Penpushing further reports that both families of the couple Achudumes and Chukwus were equally at the event radiating in bountiful joy with excitement as their children joined together as one family

The Bishop of Egba Diocese, Anglican Communion, Emmanuel Adekunle officiated the wedding, with Pastor Francis Wale-Oke leading other clergymen to pray for the couple while Pastor Dele Osunmakinde conducted the communion, which was the first assignment to be performed for the couple.

Penpushing also reports that the Founder of Citadel Global Community Church, Reverend Tunde Bakare, in his sermon titled: “A blueprint for a successful and enduring marriage,” called on the couple to always glorify God

“God expects a return of investment on every marriage because it is an institution ordained by God and any marriage that does not glory God may stand on a wrong footing’, Bakare emphasized

Penpushing reports that he pointed out that majority of marriages in churches and the society are in shambles today, because they do not glorify God, and therefore, encouraged the couple on what they should do to avoid turbulence in their marriage,

The cleric advised the groom that he needs to do a lot to mould the bride to what he wants her to be as a wife and must also dwell with her according to revelations and knowledge of God so that his prayers would not be hindered.

Penpushing further reports that Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in his remarks observed that the marriage is not just a celebration of love but also a celebration of commitment, courage and a beautiful future.

The Governor represented by the Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya described the union as a parental fulfillment and congratulated the parents for the achievement, while noting that with the foundation the couple are coming from, he has no doubt that they will have a successful marriage, and equally enjoined them to let their marriage be rooted in love and faith.

Penpushing also reports that a family member of the couple, Toyin Banjo, who came from United Kingdom to be part of the ceremony added glamour to the marriage as she donated a new Toyota Venza car to the couple

The marriage train after the church service moved to Lamb’s Event Centre within the same axis of the church headquarters where guests were entertained, as well as souvenirs which include live chicken distributed to the guests

Penpushing reports that other notable dignitaries at the ceremony include Chief (Mrs) Bola Obasanjo, wife of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Osile-Oke Ona, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun (wife of Ogun State Governor) and Mrs Olufunsho Amosun(wife of former Ogun State Governor),

The personalities also include Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno and his predecessor, Governor Udom Emmanuel, Mrs Funke Fadugba(Chairman Editorial Board Penpushing Media and Mr Eddy Aina (Member Editorial Board of Penpushing Media), as well as Mrs Oluremi Olugbenro, a top management staff of Paramount F.M Radio station
