Penpushing member, Dideolu Falobi joins Osun state governorship race

A prominent member of Penpushing platform, Engr Dideolu Falobi has declared interest to contest the Governorship seat of Osun State in the next political dispensation in the state under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Penpushing reports that Falobi made the declaration in a notification released out explaining that the decision borne out of his firm conviction that Osun state can, and must, be re-engineered for peace, unity, and sustainable development.

The Managing Director of Lagos based engineering firm, Kresta Laurel added that after deep reflection, extensive consultations and prayerful consideration he decided to offer himself to serve the state

‘After deep reflection, extensive consultations, and prayerful consideration, I have decided to offer myself to serve as the Governor of Osun State in the forthcoming 2026 Gubernatorial Election’, Falobi stated.

‘This decision is borne out of my firm conviction that Osun can, and must, be re-engineered for peace, unity, and sustainable development. For the record, I did not envisage taking a direct step into politics or political governance until recently’, he added.

‘My belief then was that other platforms outside politics would be sufficient to drive the needed change. However, I have come to the realisation that these efforts, though impactful, are not enough’, Falobi stated

‘We must continue to expand the critical mass of well-meaning individuals actively involved in politics — whether through direct participation or strategic support. This realisation has informed my decision’, he stressed.

Penpushing reports the governorship hopeful pointed out that over the years, his professional journey as an engineer, entrepreneur, and community leader has given him a deep understanding of people’s needs, state’s potential, and the urgent reforms required to move Osun state forward.

Penpushing further reports that the Bobajiro of Ijesaland added that through his work in the private sector, his leadership in various community development initiatives, and his engagement with professionals both at home and in the diaspora, he has seen firsthand that, with visionary leadership, Osun state can rise to new heights.

The administrator of Penpushing platform disclosed that his campaign will be anchored on the theme such as re-engineering Osun State for peace and development in unity, and will be implemented through a comprehensive 12-point agenda

‘It will be implemented through a comprehensive 12-Point Agenda focused on good governance, economic diversification, youth and women empowerment, infrastructural renewal, agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, diaspora engagement, and accountable leadership’, Falobi added.

Penpushing also reports the Ijesa born renowned engineer turned politician called on leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC), members and teeming supporters to support his governorship ambition

‘I am writing to personally seek your endorsement and support in this journey. Your counsel, network, and goodwill will be invaluable as we mobilise the people of Osun State for a new chapter of inclusive growth and shared prosperity’, he explained.

‘There are many ways you can be part of this movement: publicly endorsing my candidacy, helping to connect me with key stakeholders and opinion leaders, supporting with resources, expertise, or logistics, volunteering to be part of our campaign structure.
