Penpushing member, 100 others escape air crash

A member of Penpushing platform, Dr Adewunmi Alayaki and host of other passengers on Sunday narrowly escaped air crash, as their Portharcourt-Lagos bound Maxair aircraft suddenly developed mechanical fault as they were onboard.

Penpushing reports that, the flight was scheduled to take off with the engine already running, when a sudden bang and unusual noise was heard, while the aircraft was moving to take off from the runaway, making it difficult for the plane to embark on the one hour flight, and the pilot managed to taxi back to the hanger

The source added that, following the ugly development, passengers had to rush out from the aircraft to avoid any untold mishap, while as at the time of filing this report, all the passengers on board of the flight are stranded at the airport

Penpushing further reports that, as at time of this report the stranded passengers complained, shouted, and tried to create scene, but management of the airline was yet to respond to the situation, while information has it that number of the passengers have appointments to meet up with, and in same vein some have connecting flights in Lagos to other parts of the country to pick.

The number of the lucky passengers who spoke were able to express appreciation to God, to have narrowly escaped what could have been disastrous, pointing out that if not for God, if what happened to the aircraft that grounded it had happened midair, may be the nation would have been thrown into mourning another plane crash.

Penpushing also reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the management of the Maxair airline could not be reach, as all frantic efforts to reaction proved abortive
