The founder of Penpushing media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji has dedicated motivational award bestowed on him by the Egba Youth Football Championship (EYFC), organizers of the annual soccer competition to the upcoming journalists
Penpushing reports that, the renowned journalist while speaking at the ceremony held at Prince Lounge, Crown Royal Hotel located along Moshood Abiola Way, Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital, explained that he took the decision as a step to encourage the cub reporters ahead of their chosen profession.
‘I want to publicly announce here that, I am dedicating this award to all journalism students across the country, undergoing industrial training with Penpushing media. This is done to encourage them and their counterparts in other organisations’, Kayode-Adedeji said.
Penpushing further reports, he expressed appreciation on the honour bestowed on him, adding that the recognition is an indication that, his passion for journalism profession and dedication towards youth growth was noted
The founder of the globally known media organization encouraged the youths, on need to show commitment and passion for whatever profession, trade they decided to chose, stressing that they should also be contended
Penpushing reports that, the awardee who was a former Public Relations Officer of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSON), Treasurer Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), and one time Zonal Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) said he has no regret being a journalist
The President of Egba Youth Football Championship (EYFC) Olalekan Shoyinka, it is recalled in a letter sent to the veteran journalist said the award tagged, ‘Iron Pillar Award”, was in recognition of his firm support for the body since inception.
‘It is our pleasure to inform you that in our bid to appreciate those that have been contributing to the development of youths, in particular and our communities in Egbaland at large, our committee has chosen you for the 2022 EYFC Iron Pillar Award’, the letter reads
‘This is in recognition of your contributions to the development of football in the grassroots and for standing by Egba Youth Football Championship(EYFC) through thick and thin since our first edition in 2019’,Shoyinka wrote
Penpushing further report that, the Egba Youth Football Championship (EYFC) is known as brain behind organizing annual football competition to foster unity and peaceful co-existence among community youths in Ogun state
The President of the body in the letter dated January 10,2022 emphasised that the dedication of the Kayode-Adedeji, popularly called ‘Penpusher’ to the development of Egbaland and empowerment of the youths is an inspiration to them
‘Your dedication to the development of Egbaland and empowerment of our youths is an inspiration to us all. Once again, congratulations on this well reserved award and keep the spirit going’, the letter emphasized
