Penpushing initiates annual award for mass communication students
The Editorial Board in collaboration with the Annual Lecture Planning Committee of Penpushing Media has initiated an annual award for outstanding mass communication students of tertiary institutions in the country.
Penpushing reports that the resolution was reached at a meeting of the 7th Annual Lecture Planning Committee led by the Chairperson, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, ahead of the anniversary lecture scheduled to hold July 31, 2025 in Abeokuta.
The meeting also agreed that letters should be forwarded to Heads of Mass Communication/Journalism Departments of various institutions across the country, to present candidates for the exercise.
Penpushing further reports that a team of media gurus have been assigned the responsibility of assessing the performances of the candidates, to determine best, who will go home with prizes.
‘In view of this, we request you to submit the names of two of your students selected from the team representing your school at the ceremony. The session will be coordinated by a team of media gurus at the event’, the letter reads.
Penpushing also reports that the meeting called on interested schools to submit the names of their candidates to the panel through email address [email protected] as well as WhatsApp contact,08073463653 on or before July 30, 2025.
