Penpushing editorial board chairman, Funke Fadugba joins Vice President for foundation laying of Yoruba World Centre
The Chairman, Editorial Board of Penpushing Media, Deaconess Olufunke Fadugba is to join the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, for the foundation laying of the first Yoruba World Centre.
Penpushing reports that a statement said the turn of the sod of the centre is put together by the International Centre for Yoruba Arts And Culture (INCEYAC), the Institute of African Studies and the Yoruba Language Centre of the University
The ceremony is scheduled for November, 23, 2021 inside the University of Ibadan, and will be chaired by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, accompanied by Ooni of Ife,, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and other eminent Yoruba leaders.
Penpushing further reports that, the three-in-one occasion will feature the opening of the Centre’s temporary base, the presentation of a full documentary on the Yoruba World Centre and the laying of the first foundation at the permanent site by the Vice President.
The statement added that Yoruba World Centre when completed will have a big library, an archive, a museum, a recreation, reconstruction and digitising centre, broadcasting and film village and an artificial forest (Zoo).
