Penpushing bags excellence award on journalism practice
Penpushing media has added another feather to its cap following award of excellence on contributions towards development of journalism in Nigeria, bestowed on the organization at an award ceremony organized by the Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)
Penpushing reports that, the ceremony held at Continental suites/hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital had in attendance dignitaries across the country, which also includes media managers and other professionals.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun at the colourful event presented paper titled, ’Security Implications of #Endsars Protest” The Challenges”, while Commander of the Nigeria Security Defence Corps(NSDC), Ogun State Command, Hammed Bodunri presented paper on Media Role at Curbing Fake News in the Society’
Penpushing further reports that, the Commissioner of Police while presenting the award to founder of the media establishment, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, affirmed that Penpushing media has become a household name in dissemination of authentic news across the globe.
The police boss said, it is no more news that, Penpushing media is the front row in a fight against fake news, and tasked other media to emulate the position of Penpushing media, in discouraging dissemination of fake news, as well as flush out fake journalists from the noble profession.
Penpushing also reports that, Ajogun emphasized that, Penpushing media deserves the award, in view of the organization’s track records of reporting and providing authentic and breaking news to readers across the world.
The Commissioner while congratulating the founder, as well as the editorial board and management pointed out that, Penpushing online newspapers has become must read by millions of readers across the world, having being convinced that, the platform is reliable in news dissemination.
Penpushing reports that, the founder, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji in response said the award is dedicated to vigorously fight fake news, and declared that, the organization is equally prepared to lead protest against fake news dissemination, which he tagged, ’#Endfakenews protest’
‘I want to use this opportunity to openly dedicate this award to fight against fake news. It is high time we jointly wage war against fake news.
