Oyo state journalists visit ajimobi’s family, says it will take 50 years to have his replica

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to the widow of former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, describing the deceased as a patriotic and distinguished politician who has impacted on many Nigerians.

Penpushing reports that the Chairman of the union Ademola Babalola who led delegation of journalists in the State to the Oluyole home of the  Ajimobis, said that Nigeria has lost a prominent figure whose impact would be missed at all level, adding that the former governor was a successful politicians in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

“We have come here to commiserate with you over the demise of your husband, we are friend to Ajimobi’s family, he was a patriot and distinguish Nigerian. It was pleasant to be with him, we have lost a great man in Oyo State’

‘It will takes us 50 years to come before we can see someone like Ajimobi, he was the first person to have governed the states twice, we shall continue to remember him for good’, the body of journalists noted, and prayed for the reposed soul of the deceased.

Penpushing also reports that in her remark, wife of the late governor, Dr Mrs. Florence Ajimobi while speaking on behalf of Ajimobi’s family, thanked the union for their love support during and after the lifetime of her husband.

Meanwhile, in the entourage include, Mr Sola Oladapo(Secretary),  Mr Akeem Abass (Treasurer), Mr. Kemi Olaitan, Mr. Raji Adebayo, Mr. Jeremiah Oke, Mrs Dupe Fehintola, Mr. Segun Showunmi and Mr. Musiliudeen Adebayo, among others
