Oyo State governor’s wife commissions solar power for Person with Disabilities

The Wife of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. (Mrs) Tamunominini Makinde has commissioned solar energy storage donated by Bruem Energy at the female hostel of the Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities Moniya, Ibadan.
Penpushing reports that Makinde while speaking described donation and giving back to society as an act of kindness towards the vulnerable ones and humanity as a whole and urged philanthropists in the State to contribute their quota towards the economic and development of the State and Nigeria.
“Giving must come with generosity and that’s what my brother the Chief Executive Officer of Bruem Energy, Mr. Meka Nwankwo with his company has done. Even token goes a long way, nothing is too small and this gesture will be forever appreciated by the people that are going to benefit from it”,she said
Penpushing further reports that earlier in his address, the Chief Executive Officer of Bruem Energy Company, Mr. Meka Nwankwo said that the solar energy project was initiated by Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde and he agreed to do the solar energy for the school.
The Vice Principal of the Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, Mr. Adedokun Adeyinka in his welcome address commended the first lady for her initiative to facilitate the solar energy project to improve the quality of lives of persons with disabilities in the State.
Meanwhile, dignitaries at the event include the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, Barrister Ayodele Adekanbi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs. Christianah Abioye, Directors among others.
