OYO POLICE ARREST 11 SUSPECTS OVER IDI -ARERE GANG VIOLENCE

Hear him’ the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Odude has directed massive deployment of policemen to the scene of the incident, and no fewer than 11 suspects has been arrested with the principal suspect’.

“The CP has directed that all the suspects arrested should be charged to court immediately after the conclusion of their investigation, the CP has also directed that there should be 24hours surveillance in the affected places’, he said.

The Police spokesman reiterated that although the police was yet to establish the actual cause of the gang clash, but gave assurance that the remote and immediate cause of the clash will be revealed at the end of police investigation.

Penpushing further reports that, Ajisebutu also debunked rumor that 30 shops, including houses were set ablaze, noting that only few shops were affected by the fire and urged members of the public to cooperate with the police, with assurance that the security of their lives and properties guaranteed.
