OYO ELECTORAL COMMISSION BOSS WARNS ELECTORAL OFFICIALS AGAINST ROMANCE WITH POLITICIANS
While commending their efforts at the success of the last local government election in the State which went peacefully, unlike other States where there are violence and burning of houses, however, called on them to be open to one another and work as a team for the progress of the forum.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Convener of the programme, Rev. Olubunmi Adeleye Thomas says part of the mission of the forum is to assist government in grass-root in electioneering and mobilization of the masses as well as to promote and encourage the integrity of unbiased electoral umpire for the sustainability of Democracy in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
Penpushing reports further that, the forum at the event elected Comrade Dauda Oloyede, Electoral Officer of Ibarapa East as the Coordinator and Chairman of the forum, who later called for the cooperation of all the members.
Other officers elected are Deacon Ogunbiyi Job, as Deputy Chairman from Olorunsogo, Thomas Olubunmi, Egbeda as Secretary while his assistant is Mary Aderemi of Ibadan North, and Moshood Taoreed from Oyo West elected as Treasurer.
