Owu Kingdom honours empowerment expert, Ganiyat Agboola with award of recognition

An empowerment expert Alhaja Folashade Ganiyat Agbola has been celebrated by Owu Kingdom with an award in recognition of her contribution and passionate commitment to the Olowu Scholarship Programme and involvement in various empowerment and welfare initiatives.

Penpushing reports that Agboola was presented the award at the symposium in honour of Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola, Olowu of Owu 60th birthday and 2nd year coronation held at auditorium of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.

The royal father at the ceremony explained that the award tagged, ’Youth Empowerment Award’ was on merit, adding that the recipient has played key role in supporting youth development and enhancing the welfare of individuals in the Owu communities

Penpushing further reports that the traditional ruler emphasized that the award was a testament to the recipient’s exceptional skills leadership and innovative spirit, and congratulated her for a well-deserved recognition

Penpushing also reports that the colourful and well packaged ceremony with number of personalities within and outside Nigeria in attendance brought together number of professionals from various industries and fields

The recipient in response to the award expressed appreciation to the Owu Kingdom for the honour bestowed on her, adding that it would further encourage her to be more committed on her empowerment initiative, and dedicated the award to God as well as her late father.
