Outspoken former Governor Wike makes Tinubu’s ministerial list
The Nigeria’s President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has nominated 28 persons as ministers, which include the controversial former Governor of Rivers State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Nyesom Wike.
Penpushing reports that the list was contained in a letter read by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, at the plenary on Thursday, which also include names of Nasir El-Rufai, a former Governor of Kaduna Governor
The Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila submitted the ministerial list to the Senate at about 1:19 p.m, the submission said to be in line with the constitutional provision stipulating that the president has from the date he is sworn in, a 60-day window to appoint ministers.
Penpushing further reports that others in the list as read by the Senate President include the former Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, Lateef Fagbemi, a senior lawyer, Olawale Edun, economist and presidential spokesperson Dele Alake.
The Nigeria’s President asked the Senate to screen and confirm the ministerial nominees, while the Senate President, however, referred the President’s request to the committee of a whole for consideration.
Penpushing also reports that nominees are: Abubakar Momoh, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, Chief Uche Nnaji, Dr. Betta Edu, Dr. Dorris Aniche Uzoka and David Umahi
The list equally include Badaru Abubakar, Rt. Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo, Hon. Nkiru Onyeojiocha, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Hon. Stella Okotette, Hon. Uju Kennedy Ohaneye, Mr. Bello Muhammad and Mr. Dele Alake
