Her word ‘this center function to foster the emergence of a development coalition of various groups of stakeholders in the policy arena, and thus facilitate the growth of a new culture of policy reform and management, as well as guarantee a broad based ownership of policy initiatives, this is in the view to enhancing the prospect of effective and successful implementation of development policies ‘

Penpushing reports that, Aboyade further added that the center has the mandate to assist in capacity building aimed at improving public policy design and development management in Nigeria and Africa as a whole

Her words ‘ in recognition that Africa as a whole needs to concretize its efforts in capacity building for development, the World Bank itself persuaded by expert like Aboyade to first initiate the establishment of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) in Harare to direct the functioning of such centers, first as the DPC in Ibadan as well as Cape Town, Accra and Nairobi

Aboyade reiterated further that DPC is particularly to synthesized Nigeria economy, business and finance as a stream, together with culture, values and institutions as well as science and technology collectively into sociology of development

She however noted that the purpose of the meeting was to dialogue on how the country can achieve the United Nations Sustainable Goal Number 3, which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all age, noting that since last year the center has been devoting its efforts by sensitizing governments, institutions and fellow Nigerians to the 17th UN Sustainable Development Goal

Penpushing reports that,dignitaries present at the occasion include Professor Aderemi Kuku who was the Chairman of the event, Professor Jide Desaolu who is the Special Guest of Honor, His Royal Highness Oba Olufemi Olutoye, Oba Cornelius Abiola Taiwo, Professor Kunle Olowu who is the lead speaker, Otunba Kayode Oduntan, Dr Bola Ofi, and Chief Folake Solanke (SAN) among others.
