Ota chambers of commerce organizes career talk for entrepreneurs
The Ota-Agbara Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (OTAGCCIMA), Ogun State on Thursday organized Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Clinic/Career Talk, said to be a follow up to government concerted efforts at acceleration and promotion of an all round economic development of the state.
Penpushing reports that, the President of the Chambers, Mrs Cynthia Saka in her welcome during the career talk tagged, ‘Utilization of Opportunities as an Economic Development Theory for SMEs and Youth Empowerment’, explained that the chambers is one of the five city chambers that made up Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA).
The chambers boss boasted that the chapter is a vibrant member of the Nigerian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), and also affiliated to the Federation of Commonwealth Chambers of Commerce and the International Chamber of Commerce.
Penpushing further reports that, she disclosed that, it has direct contact with foreign Chambers of Commerce, which also places it in a good pedestal to provide worldwide services to its members across.
‘The Program is a follow up to the two set of MSME Clinics organized by the administration of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, in his concerted efforts at acceleration and promotion of an all round economic development of the state’, Saka added.
‘However, the main objectives of this MSME clinic and career talk is to expose SMEs businesses, students, youths and women groups in the Igbesa-Agbara of Ado Odo Ota local government area to the several business opportunities, access to finance, scale up businesses, export opportunities, among others’, she explained.
Penpushing also reports that, Saka pointed out that, the targeted audience are students, youths, women, artisans and other relevant trade groups, stressing that there was no doubt of the vast opportunities abound in the state as reflected in its diverse richness in agriculture and minerals deposits.
The President of the chambers emphasized that, this is further enhanced by its gateway status and having the largest concentration of industries in the country, explaining that some. recent government policies and projects, like the banning of foreigners from buying goods from farm gate, the about to be completed Agro Cargo Airport at Ilashan Remo are increasingly creating more economic opportunities for the people.
