25 YEAR OLD MAN CAUSES PANIC AT LAGOS AIRPORT, CHARGES AT TAXIING AIRCRAFT

The intruder resisted arrest by the unarmed Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria,(FAAN’s) Security, while in the middle of the melee the authorities called for reinforcement and alerted the pilot of the aircraft about the intrusion.

Penpushing further reports that, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria,(FAAN) confirmed the ugly development in a statement, adding that, it had to delay the aircraft to allow for a successful apprehension of the intruder.

The intruder was later apprehended and taken to custody for interrogation, while the aircraft was also advised to return to base for necessary safety and security inspections in line with standard procedure, and thereafter finally departed Lagos at about 10:16 am,.

Penpushing also reports that, the Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria,(FAAN)  and other top officials of the agency  inspected the site of the incident and had discussion  with the Captain of the aircraft, who commended the swift response  of the Aviation Security team.

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria,(FAAN)  in the statement said that the Captain of the Aircraft described the intervention as “timely and professional” because “he was not even aware of any intrusion until they alerted him.”
