New Commissioner of Police resumes in Osun state

The new Commissioner of Police deployed to Osun State, Isyaku Mohammed has assumed office at the State Police Command in Osogbo, the state capital, following the retirement of the former occupant of the office.

Penpushing reports that Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer Yemisi Opalola made this known in a statement, recalling that Mohammed was posted to Osun State following the retirement of the former Commissioner of Police, Kehinde Longe, retired assistant inspector general of police.

The statement added that Opalola explained that the new Commissioner of Police was born in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and holds B.Sc in Accounting and M.Sc in Business Administration, Strategic Studies and Security Administration.

Penpushing further reports that the statement said the Commissioner of Police joined the Nigeria Police Force in August 1996 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, adding that he has served in various capacities in different states of the country, including Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja,

Meanwhile, the statement added that Mohammed served last as Commissioner of Police, Police Account and Budget, Force Headquarters Abuja before his transfer to Osun State Police Command
