Ogunseye, wife arrive Nigeria from United Kingdom for chieftaincy installation
A United Kingdom based Owu indigene of Egbaland, South West of Nigeria, Dr Michael Kolawole Ogunseye has arrived the country in company of his wife, Toyin Ogunseye for his installation as Baagbimo of Owu Kingdom
Penpushing reports that Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba (Prof) Saka Matemilola will confer the title on the renowned accountant, while his wife will also be honoured with the chieftaincy title of Yeye Baagbimo of Owu Kingdom.
The ceremony to confer the chieftaincy on Ogunseye who is the Asiwaju of Gbagura Christian and Akinlagun of Egba Christian, as well as his wife who is the Asiwaju Obirin of Gbagura Christian is scheduled to hold on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Penpushing further reports that the chieftaincy ceremony will be held at Olowu palace located in Oke-Ago Owu of Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun State from 9am, as findings showed that arrangements are already at advance stage for the epoch events
The incoming Baagbimo of Owu Kingdom is from the Abuye family compound, Totoro, Owu, Abeokuta, and he is the son of late Madam Janet Ibiyemi Ashabi Ogunseye, while reception of the event is scheduled to take place at Rotary Club of Abeokuta located at number 2, Iredele Street off Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital
