OGUN TRADITIONAL RULERS ENDORSE ALLIANCE FOR DEMOCRACY CANDIDATE AHEAD OF 2019 POLL
The traditional rulers led by Olu of Imasai, Oba Gbadebo Olusola Oni who represented the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle said the emergence of Olowookere was a sign of blessings for the zone, being the son of the soil, stressing that they(monarchs) and their subjects would give him the needed support on his political ambition.
Penpushing further reports that, the royal fathers in turn showered prayers on the candidate, affirming that, his visit to them was the beginning of his ambition success, towards becoming the next Governor of the State
Speaking on behalf of over thirty traditional rulers who were in attendance, he emphasized that, the emergence of the candidate was a pointer to the fact that, it was the turn of the zone to be at the helms of affairs, after over forty years of the creation of the state.
They further noted that the emergence of the 39 year old candidate was a challenge for other youths, to rise up to the challenges of contributing meaningfully to the developmental growth of the nation, and also expressed appreciation for his boldness.
Penpushing reports that, the Governorship Candidate while speaking said, his visit was aimed to pay respect to the elders who are known to be next to God with their positions and to seek their royal blessings.
He said, he would see to the genuine welfare of the monarchs and their subjects if voted to power, stressing that governance starts from tradition and culture, which he would emulate for a successful tenure
He added that his vision for the State is self-sustaining on the path of consistent growth in critical human capital and economic indicators year on year, where everyone desires to live, work and play, adding that he would deploy simple governance of principles, technology and innovation for growth and sustainability in all sectors
