Ogun state schools resume Monday, October 26
The Ogun State has ordered that all schools should resume academic activities on Monday, and this is coming after earlier closure following protests against police brutality which engulfed some parts of the country including the state.
Penpushing reports that, the order of resumption was made known in a statement on Sunday issued and signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin, adding that following return of peace, the schools can now continued academic activities
“This is to announce to the general public that all schools are to resume academic activities tomorrow, Monday, 26th October, 2020. The State Government had earlier last week, declared all schools closed in the wake of rising tensions that followed nationwide protests”, the statement reads.
“With peace returned to all parts of the State after organisers suspended protests in the State, Government has no reservations, whatsoever in reopening schools tomorrow’, Somorin added.
